Hello fellow Churchill Area Neighbors
uh
Neighbors! This is one of your
co-chairs (Craig) coming at you with what I would like to be a regular
weekly event.

Image this like a heart beat to keep things flowing. It just seems that
weeks go by and I picture cob webs forming on the CAN discussions mailing
list.

These messages will be very informal. When the web site is up and running, I
’ll probably turn these weekly messages into some kind of web log format.
That’s right, web <space> log, if anyone ever says “blog” to me I’ll

.probably do nothing, never mind.

So why am I doing this? Well
why not? I have a platform from which to speak.
I have a captive audience of what?
13 people?. I hope that number gets
bigger.

I want to talk about things in the news and things going on around town. I
may mention they drained the lake in front of the downtown library or that
Invitrogen got a new molecular probe. Who knows?!?! I’ll try to keep it
focused on the CAN, but there is a whole world out there.

So here we go
.

I noticed that the Food for Lane County got a new sign for their
neighborhood garden in the Churchill Sports Park. It’s too bad they did not
include the Churchill Area Neighbors like what was on the old sign.

Also in the Churchill Sports Park
mark your calendars
 a skateboard
competition. The date is August
something or rather
I lost the little advert
from the Eugene Recreation Services guide, but as soon as I find it, I’ll
re-announce it.
